Evening Concerts: Prototype Festival

St. Paul’s Chapel

As we celebrate 50 years of midday concerts, Trinity Wall Street offers a new series of monthly evening performances in Lower Manhattan. Featuring The GRAMMY nominated Choir of Trinity Wall Street under the direction of Julian Wachner, the fall evening series explores the theme of the setting sun, through cherished music of the Anglican tradition and Rachmaninoff’s treasured Vespers. The new year brings new music, as concerts in January and February are devoted to premieres of Trinity co-commissions, including works by Nico Muhly, David Little, Ellen Reid, and Daniel Schlossberg.

Evening Concert Series & Prototype Festival: of time and place

Trinity premieres two commissions by leading composers Ellen Reid and David Little. These works explore what has been lost for the sake of progress within the vernacular of specific times and places.

David Little Am I Born (World premiere of revised version)
Ellen Reid Dreams of the New World (East Coast Premiere)
Co-commissioned by Trinity Wall Street and the Los Angeles Master Chorale
