Since its inception in 1904, the Leipzig Bach Festival has celebrated the works of J.S. Bach in the city where Bach worked from 1723 until his death in 1750. The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Trinity Baroque Orchestra, under the direction of Julian Wachner, will be featured in the opening concert of the festival’s Chorale Cantata Cycle: a 10-day-long presentation of Bach’s entire cantata cycle by 30 choirs from all continents. They will reprise the program at Wartburg Castle in Eisenach.
