Bach at One

St. Paul’s Chapel

On Monday afternoons in the fall and spring, Julian conducts the Trinity Choir and Trinity Baroque Orchestra in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach's cantatas at historic St. Paul's Chapel.  These services present Bach's cantatas in a liturgical context, returning these miniature oratorio-like works to their original purpose.  Steeped in a sophisticated praxis of hermeneutical design, the cantatas are presented in an historically-informed manner, with period instruments and select members of the Trinity Choir.
